More than 5,000 men and women shed their clothing – people of all ages, shapes and sizes, gays and straight alike who were undeterred by the chilly pre-dawn weather on this, the first morning of the southern autumn.
They pose for a photograph by the American artist Spencer Tunick.
Tunick, famed for his snapshots of mass nudity in public spaces, had been commissioned by the organizers of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, which took place over the weekend.
The naked models included a pregnant woman, who went straight to hospital afterward to give birth, and a television weatherman whose viewers got to see considerably more than his usual Monday morning forecast.

what a bizarre video, i like the fact that they could get that together, seems like a fun photoshoot.
What if there’s a nude hot lady in front of you while participating this event? Is it possible that your manhood will rise even if others are looking? Will the nude hot lady file a lawsuit against him (“Harassment”)? Hehehe. I wonder.
I doubt. Getting arouse in a crowded place with everyone naked (male and female) is a rare thing with most guys nad girls too I supposed.
Pretty cool idea and I would love to see the pic and how it comes out. That is a lot of people to get naked.
Same here Garrett. I hope they publish the pics to public consumption.
A bit too revealing for this old bird. At my age, the more coverage the better. But, its nice to live in a world where there is freedom of expression. The tan lines certainly stand out.
Yeah the tan lines certainly stands out.
Seems like a Saturday night around my house…. haha I wish. Anything for art right, all though if people just did this for the sake of enjoying it forget about it, people would be in an uproar.
Very unique. I’ve heard of nude beaches, but I’ve never heard of a bunch of people going to a normally very public area to be nude and pose for a photographer.
(I’d be the guy that was always raising his hand or fist so that I could pick myself out in the photo)
