Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey weigh-in just moments ago in Dallas, Texas. Manny came in at 145 3/4 pounds, his heaviest weight in his career while Joshua tip the scale at exactly 147 pounds, the limit for welterweight division.
Manny didn’t look ripped like his past weigh-ins showing that the Welterweight division is really a one division higher than his body can do. Manny is perfect for 140lb and I hope he go back to that weight. Clottey on the other hand is a big welterweight. His past fights was at 154 lbs at Super Welterweight. He is also have a 2″ height advantage over Pacquiao.
Tomorrow night it is expected that Clottey will fight in the ring at 160lbs while Pacquiao around 150. It will be a 10 pound advantage for Clottey. Pacquiao on the other hand will have the advantage in speed and power that will negate Joshua’s height, reach and weigh advantage. Let’s enjoy a good fight tomorrow.
