Here we go! After all have been said and done, only two teams, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics left standing in this NBA season. We relive the oldest rivalry in NBA today as these teams battle it our for basketball supremacy in the NBA Finals 2010.
Multiple titles are the only metric of success, (sorry LeBron you don’t even have one) the only validation still interesting to Bryant and Pierce. Bryant is trying to accomplish the rarest of NBA feats for the second time in his career, while Pierce’s Celtics get their first chance when the NBA finals begin Thursday night at Staples Center.
Bryant has 4 rings while Pierce got 1.
But on the biggest scoreboard of all, the one these players claim they seldom check, it’s Celtics 17, Lakers 15. Don’t expect fans in either basketball-crazy city to forget that score when their team takes it all again.
I’m pretty excited about this and I hope we get a good game today and Lakers will draw first blood.

After last night, it’s looking like Lakers 16, Celtics 17. And, with an aging Celtics team, it also appears Lakers may have a couple more championships in store to take a 18-17 lead in the most championships record books in the very near future.

Yeah Lakers drew first blood. The Lakers should continue their focus and get done with it the soonest possible time.
Artest got a good game. Gasol isn’t Gasoft anymore and Kobe is still Kobe.
I think BOS will win games 3 and 4. LA will win game 5. Then BOS will take game 6 at LA. So it’s going to be BOS at 6.

I got a different prediction. I think it will be Lakers in 6. Lakers will win game 3 and 4 then Boston will get game 5. Now LA again in game 6 for the Finals Championship. Thanks for leaving your comment here.

game 3 is on today at BOS. We’ll see if the Celtics will gain momentum from their last win or the Lakers will try to start their own and take advantage of the 2-3-2 format which would be very beneficial for them.
I think to key for a Celtics win is Ray Allen. They have to exploit his mis-match against Fisher since Kobe will be guarding Rondo the whole game. Unless the Lakers would field in Kobe, Artest, Odom, Gasol and Bynum all at the same time so Artest can take on Allen. But then, they don’t have a legitimate PG for that line up. So Allen better have a hell of a great game for them to win. He should break his own record for 3s in the finals.

He almost broke a record in the finals by going 0 of 13 in the field. LA is loving Allen at the moment.
