Blog Cake
Time flies! It only seems like last week when I started this blog but last week is actually the 1st monthsarry of this blog. I learned a lot during the first 30 days from other blog sites from writing techniques (sad to say I still suck) to promoting your blog and making a connection aka building a relationship to fellow bloggers to WordPress plug ins and what not.
Okay so I registered this domain and got my hosting from Bluehost on August 29, 2009 and posted my first blog article right away. I started searching ways to promote my blog and read, read and read. I made some connections with popular blogs like ExtremeJohn and BlogEngage and from there I met more bloggers who are willing to help each other including newbie blogger like me.
This post is actually one week long overdue but I’ve been busy with my day job, family and with the typhoon Ondoy, I never got the chance to post this. But it’s better late than never right? Okay to see how my blog done in its first 30 days, I checked it’s Google Analytics from August 29, 2009 to September 28, 2009 and here are the stats.

Pageviews: 2,695
Visits: 1,317
Unique visitors: 880
Ave. time on site: 3:51
Bounce rate: 65%
Top 5 referring sites are:
1. Google (organic)
2. ExtremeJohn
I suggest for newbie bloggers to check out those sites above as they can give you traffic and regular visitors to your blog. My most popular post during the first 30 days is Kanye West dissing Taylor Swift and it is still the most popular at the moment. Most of my visitors comes from United States with Philippines comes close second and United Kingdom third. Bounce rate percentage is my weakest link at the moment but I can see other blogs even popular ones having high bounce rates too. Maybe keeping it under 60 percent is my target at the moment.
Nothing But Random survived it’s first month and I’m glad it did. Happy first month anniversary to my blog I guess, hoping to have many more months of blogging.

Google Analytics for the first month are indeed impressive and it’s good to see that you’ve found so many good friends so far, I think I shall start befriending them as well for my new blog 
although I’ve to find some time to addup new posts to it and then link to them hehe. But it helps, there are many things we maybe doing the wrong way so they do help us out if we’re wrong somewhere, and thats what I love the most about online world community.
