Tiger is in the woods for the past few days. Following his midnight car crash within a few meters of his house, Tiger Woods has been in the front page of the sport section everyday of all major dailies and online websites. He sustained minor injuries with facial cuts and bruises.
Tiger Woods was reported crashed into a fire hydrant costing $3,000 in damage and then to a tree (another $200 in damage) in his Cadillac Escalade SUV that will cost $8,000 to repair. A traffic ticket was issued for Tiger’s erratic driving in the amount of $164 which is lower than the penalty for watering your lawn on non designated watering day.
A neighbor called 911 and reported a man was lying in the ground unconscious while a woman was standing beside him. Initial reports said Erin, Tiger’s wife smashed both the rear windows of his Escalade with a golf club and dragged him out of his vehicle. I’m just curious because, the final resting place of Tiger’s Escalade was between 50 to 100 meters from their garage. So his wife followed him carrying a golf club? Or Erin saw him driving erratic the moment he left their driveway and thought of following him but now without his favorite golf club because she might need it to smash the windows after Tiger crash? What do you think?
The police released a map diagram of Tiger’s crash ridden route and you can see Tiger’s erratic driving from the 
moment he left their garage to finally stopped by a tree. He was off the road 4 times driving in less than a minute. What was he thinking? Maybe Tiger was thinking what strategy he will use on the next torunament which is just around the corner. Or maybe he thought that his Escalade is built tough and can not be stopped by a mere tree?
Well it so happen that a few days before the accident, a woman went out in the open claiming to be Tiger’s mistress and said she has 300 text messages to prove it. A Los Angeles cocktail waitress, Jaimee Grubbs, told the magazine she met Woods at a Las Vegas nightclub the week after the 2007 Masters — two months before Woods’ wife, Elin, gave birth to their first child.
Jaimee Grubbs also released a voicemail claiming it was Tiger’s voice on his phone.
“Hey, it’s, uh, it’s Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Um, can you please, uh, take your name off your phone. My wife went through my phone. And, uh, may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, and what do you call it just have it as a number on the voicemail, just have it as your telephone number. That’s it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye.”
Tiger is also linked to two other women, Rachel Uchitel, a New York nightclub hostess and Kalika Moquin , a Las Vegas nightclub executive.
Tiger issued an apology in his website yesterday.
“I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves,” Woods said. “For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.”
“Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means,” Woods said. “For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives.”
Let’s give Tiger his personal space and leave the domestic problem to themselves. What are your thoughts?

It really is amazing how some people just self-destruct. I hope everything turns out well for Tiger and his family. It sounds like they have a lot of work ahead.

I just saw this on t.v. a while ago.
It makes me sick how any mistress would come out like that and just face the world, saying she’s a whore. She-all of those whores-should be hiding their faces in shame for the rest of their lives. But of course- it’s the media attention that they really want-so this is what they want, anyway.
It’s disgusting, really.
Too much fame and too much money ruin a person who has no strong character to begin with. A person with truly strong character isn’t ruined by such things.
Yeah they will rather have their 15 minutes of fame than just keeping their silence.

I’m on the fence here. I think his only mistake because we are all human was not telling the truth right away. It would have went over so smooth as opposed to lying to the entire world about it. That was rude.

I agree. We should leave sport athletes lives alone and just concentrate on their performance as much as possible. But thats what you get for being rich and famous. Your life will be criticized any given chance. People expect you to be perfect.

I’ve said this before about Manny Pacquiao, the boxer, and now I’m saying this again about the Tiger. He’s human. He’s just like us who gets tempted by err…temptations. Ours may be small temptations, thus we can readily ward it off before it bites. In Tiger’s case, he’s big and so he gets big temptations. He’s got money and this alone is like a temptation magnet. Some non-whores would want to be a whore for one who has money and is generous with it. Like Gabe here, I wouldn’t be surprised to see several tiger cubs already having secret trust funds out there.

But the public interest in others’ sex lives is a little weird, in my opinion. Most human beings aren’t saints, and most can be tempted by something or someone to do what they know they shouldn’t do. I feel sorry for them all. Maybe not the mistress, but what do you think drives a woman to be that vindictive? Surely not the thought that such a publicity stunt would win the man’s undying love and make him leave his wife? Most of all, I feel badly for Tiger’s wife and kids, being thrown under the media bus. Because that kind of scandal sells tabloids. You could blame Tiger, or the mistress – but it’s media hype and the buying public that makes it really tragic. We should all just mind our own business and stop feeding the jackals. It would be different if it were a politician spending taxpayer money to fly his mistress to France for dinner, or something – you know? That, we taxpayers have a legitimate interest in – as injured parties.

I think he is a dick but who cares what he does, just because he is a golfer everyone has to suddenly know everything about his personal life. It’s not interesting at all considering stuff like this probably happens every three seconds somewhere. It just shows how society is glued to the television without no real purpose in life but to live vicariously through the lives of others instead of enjoying anything on their own.

Exactly, Alan. But really, we can all judge the man, but the only people who should be in a position to judge him on this particular thing are his wife and alleged mistress(es). TMI, don’t you think? It says more about the public than it does about the celebrity, that we’ll (I use “we” loosely, because I just don’t care) spend so much time on a “sex scandal” that doesn’t involve US.

Tiger always seemed arrogant to me. Maybe it’s Karma?
Leave it to the media to over-hype everything, much-a-do-about-nothing! Who cares is what I say, I have my own problems and work to do. I try not to bring celebrities to a level of having actual feelings for them, I like ‘em, or I don’t. I leave it at that.

People say Tiger was arrogant, but when you have that type of money and fame, i think you loose the touch of saying hello to people, meeting new friends, having the same trust in people that your ordinary Joe has, i think all these people with fame and fortune would love to just go into a bar, have a nice sociable drink and meet new friends, which ofcoarse we all know, they cannot.
