Free Google Wave Invites

Google WaveI’ve been using VoIP service for my long distance calls for the past 3 years and it really lower down the cost of my calls compared when I was still using my phone provider direct dialing. The past few years too, Google from mainly a search engine company turn out to be a one giant all in one internet company and adding VoIP in their service.

Google evolved and captured a large chunk of internet users with its products and services. Back in 2004, Google launched its free web based email with 1 GB storage. It was unthinkable at that moment where Yahoo and Hotmail only give its users a measly 10 MB and their paid email service only allows 100 MB storage. So people everywhere were asking for Gmail invitation and luckily I was able to get one almost immediately.

Aside from email, Google also has Analytics which analyze your websites statistics. Chrome, their own browser which is competing with firefox and Internet Explorer. Google Earth, another first from Google, which makes looking at the map in a totally new level. and they topped it off byadding Google Street view.

Google also has Google Talk, their own version of instant messaging and Google Voice (by invitation) which offer its users a US number for free. you can call and receive calls for free on Google Voice.

And now their newest product, Google Wave which is by invitation too. Google wave is is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

Now for those who wants a Google Wave invite, just add a comment here and state why do you need a Google Wave and why do you think it would help you. I have like a dozen invites to give and share with my readers.

Of course I will run out of invites, so if I may ask that you come back here and share 1 invite for those who leave comments. This will keep the ball rolling and everyone will have the chance to get their invites and use Google Wave.

Please don’t send me an invite as I have plenty myself hehe, I just wanted to say it’s nice of you to give them away for away for free and by nothing more than just a comment.

Personally I don’t really use Wave anymore, it didn’t “find it’s spot with me”, but maybe later when it becomes more popular, I might give it another try.

I don’t think these invites are very popular, now that almost everyone has them and so few are actually using Wave.

Yes Anne for non techie people, these invites aren’t popular. But for those who constantly using VoIP, Chat software, P2P and the likes are looking for invites left and right. Maybe I need to market this article :)

    Hi,
I still don’t understand what is google wave?
What is it for? I have an invite but never used them and most probably never will.
Not so many blogger talking about wave to. Maybe many of us don’t know what is it for.

    • ZXT says:

I think the reason why Wave isn’t mainstream at the moment because not all Google users has it. To use Google Wave, you need another Google Wave user or else its going to be pretty useless. I believe when there’s more Google Wave users, then people will understand more about Wave.

It’s awesome that you’re giving out free Google Wave invites. I had a buddy give me one a few weeks back. Frankly, I’ve never really understood what the hype is. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I don’t really get why everybody is talking about it. On the flip side, that same buddy that gave me the invite, he loves it! Uses it all the time and talks about how awesome it is.

    • ZXT says:

Same here Johnny. I got Wave but I seldom use it because only a few of my contacts has one. This is also the reason why I’m trying to let more people get Wave so it will be more useful to me and to everyone.

  8. I had eight Google Wave invites that I gave away to my readers, and several of my readers claimed they never go the Invite, even though I kept the wave email showing the invites were sent to those email addresses. So even if you give them away, it appears Google may or may not send the invitations to the users.

Might not be mainstream yet, but definitely another tool google is just testing out to see how far ahead of the competition they can get. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

Could you please send me a google wave invite, because I do alot of group projects, and i mean alot. Email takes to long, and i saw a demo of google wave and I thought that it would be very helpful.

  14. Many people hate google, but I really like it, because they give so many excellent tools for free… even google documents, not mentioned here, excellent thing to work and share with others. You don’t have to pay to get microsoft word, we can have for free almost the same, even with easy way to share the documents with others and we don’t lose the copy of it! it’s all online. I would love to check google wave, still didn’t have a chance. Nice post!
