RIP Brittany Murphy
Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Murphy starred in such films as “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” “Just Married” and “Don’t Say a Word.”
Brittany Murphy was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 10, 1977 to Sharon Murphy and Angelo Bertolotti, divorced when she was two years old, and Murphy was raised by her mother, in New Jerseyand later in Los Angeles, where they moved so Murphy could pursue an acting career.
The caused of her death isn’t clear at the moment but people are assuming it’s either by drug overdosed or by illegal drugs.

We’re told Murphy was taking prescription meds for flu-like symptoms she had been experiencing for several days. We’re told Murphy began vomiting early Sunday morning and told family members she was feeling very ill.
Sources say various prescriptions were found in the home — written for Brittany Murphy, husband Simon Monjack, and Brittany’s mom. One source says, “There were a lot … a lot of prescriptions in the house.”
Law enforcement sources tell us Murphy collapsed in the bathroom and somehow ended up in the shower … there was, we’re told, a significant amount of vomit in the immediate area.
We’re also told authorities did not find illegal drugs in the house, but Murphy was definitely taking various prescription meds.
Sources say her condition and the meds could have triggered a heart attack, but it’s too early to know. An autopsy will be performed Monday or Tuesday. We reported earlier Monjack did not want an autopsy but ultimately it’s the Coroner’s call.
Brittany MurphyAs we first reported, Brittany Murphy’s mother told paramedics her daughter suffered from diabetes. We’re told it was type 2 diabetes and people involved in the case doubt her condition caused her death.
Story is still developing at the moment so maybe it will still take a day or two before the real cause of her death surface.

I heard about this last night. Early this morning, a UK site announced that her death was caused by a Heart Attack and she died of Natural causes. Thanks for the news post.

This is the first post I have seen with this news. I had no idea! I thought, “well maybe this is a joke” so I looked on Google news and its everywhere. How could I have missed this? I’m so sad to see her (as well as so many other) stars die this year. Its sucks. Seems like everyone is dying off.

I thought Brittany Murphy was a great talent. It is too bad she is gone so young. I read she was supposed to start a new movie in January. It is sad that she might have died like Heath Ledger with presciption drugs.

One of the things that makes me sad is when I read news about young superstars have died because either of drugs overdose or some other problem. It seems the glamour world is just too hard to digest for everyone. Some young stars without proper guidance can either land up with too much ego and craze of fame and drugs use and some find it too stressful because FAME takes away all your privacy.
She was beautiful, may she Rest in Peace.
